From the heart of Malaga city centre, some of Andalusia’s best-loved spots are just a short trip away. Along the coast, Marbella, Benalmadena and Nerja serve family-friendly fun, white-washed villages and cultural highlights like Colomares Castle and Puerto Banus. Frigiliana, meanwhile, with its cobbled lanes and mountain scenery, is ideal for a laidback day of wine-tasting and tapas.
A little further away, Gibraltar offers a mix of nature and excitement with its towering centrepiece peak, cheeky monkeys and dolphin cruises. Inland, Ronda’s olive oil heritage and clifftop views are definitely worth checking out. History buffs won’t want to miss Cordoba’s Mezquita, Sevilla’s cathedral or Granada’s Alhambra – all within easy reach from Malaga. You can even hop across the strait to Morrocco for a touch of North African flair. With so many experiences, the hardest part is choosing where to go first.
