Things to do in Queluz National Palace
The National Palace of Queluz is one of the most remarkable examples of the harmonious link between landscape and palatial architecture in Portugal.
It was designed as a summer palace between 1747 and 1789, on the initiative of the second son of King João V, Pedro de Bragança, who owned the Casa de Campo de Queluz, the former residence of the Marquis of Castelo Rodrigo.
The palace served as the official royal residence during the second half of the 18th-century and the early 19th-century. It combines the Baroque, the Rococo and the Neoclassical architectural designs while its historical gardens are inspired by French styles.
Don’t think twice, travel back in time and immerse yourself in the fascinating history that surrounds this impressive palace.
