What to expect

Upon arrival in Syracuse, meet with the multilingual local guide and visit the V century BC archaeological area where you'll see the Greek Theatre (there will be a theatre set on-site during the summer), the Roman Amphitheatre, the Altar of Hieron II, and the Latomies of Paradise with the Ear of Dionysius. After that, visit the historical centre of the island of Ortigia, with the Temple of Apollo, the Cathedral, the important Baroque church built on an ancient temple, and the Fountain of Arethusa with the famous papyrus plant. Lastly, enjoy free time for an individual walking tour to the Grand Harbour with the 'Foro Italico' on Porto Grande.

The meeting point is the main Bus Terminal in Via Pirandello and not the Greek theater. Getting out from the Porta Messina arch, take Via Pirandello on the right and going down the hill you will find it on the right after 500 m.
